Solution:

Frequency of an open organ pipe is double than that of a closed pipe. On inserting an open pipe up to half of its height it will act like closed pipe. Frequency is inversely proportional to height of air column. On inserting half in water, its frequency will double. frequency of open pipe will remain unchanged.
