In male cockroach, before copulation, the sperms are passed into the seminal vesicles where these form spermatophores. During copulation, the spermatophore is passed into the spermatheca of the female cockroach for storage. After copulation the two insects separate. These sperms fertilize the eggs. Fertilized eggs are encased in capsules called ootheca.
