Solution:

The phenomenon of having more than two genomes or two sets of chromosomes is known as polyploidy. It occurs when chromosomes do not separate at the time of anaphase either due to non-disjunction or due to non-formation of the spindle. After telophase stage cytokinesis does not occur that leads to polyploidy.
