Solution:
The hinge joint is a type formed between bones where they can move in only one plane. Hinge joints permit uniaxial movements like flexion-extension and resemble the movements of a door or window. Humerus and ulna make the elbow joint which allows the flexion and extension of the forearm relative to the upper arm. In the elbow joint the ulna works like a hinge, so only forward movement is possible. In the knee joint, the patella or knee cap works as a hinge so only backward movement is possible.
