During Anaphase-I, the homologous chromosomes break their connections and separate, and move towards the spindle poles along with their tractile fibrils, called disjunction and these separated chromosomes are called dyads that forms two groups of chromosome. Each dyad is still with 2 chromatids, and each group having half the number of chromosome present in the parent nucleus.
