In 1859, Darwin published the origin of species. His views were published in his book Origin of Species by natural selection. He stated that all living things on earth today are the descendants with modification of earlier species and second, he proposed a mechanism natural selection to explain how evolution takes place. Darwins theory of natural selection state that natural selection acts on favourable variation, which appears among individual of a species.
