Crayfish belongs to phylum-Arthropoda. It is a fresh water crustaceans resembling small lobsters to which they are closely related. They breath through feather, like gills and are found in bodies of water that do not freeze to the bottom. Most crayfish cannot tolerate polluted water. Some crayfish have been found living as much as 3m (10 feet) underground.
