Sucrose and lactose both are disaccharides.
In sucrose, anomeric- of glucose and of -D-fructose are blocked by -glycosidic linkage.
So, it is a non-reducing sugar. In lactose, anomeric of -galactose is blocked by glycosidic linkage but anomeric- of -glucose has free group, which shows reducing property.
