Solution:

Colour blindness is a recessive X-linked disease. In male only single X- chromosome is present so in male, colour blindness is due to recessive male chromosome and in female when only X-chromosome is affected, female does not show colour blindness and behave like a carrier. Female is colour blindness only when both of the X-chromosomes becomes affected.
