The long branching structure of fungi involved in vegetative growth is called hyphae. The aggregate of these filamentous structures are called mycelium. Mycelium which is non-septate with many nuclei in the cytoplasm will be called as coenocytic mycelium. These are generally found in the parasitic fungi groups like Abugo.
