Chlorosis is an abnormal condition in plant stems and leaves in which synthesis of the green pigment chlorophyll is inhibited, resulting in a pale yellow colouration. This may be caused by mineral deficiency (N,K, Mg, Mn, Zn, S, Fe and Mo), absence of light, infection (particularly by viruses), or genetic factors.
