The term agamogenesis can be split as a + gamo + genesis in which 'a' means absent, 'gamo' means gametes, and 'genesis' means formation. So the term agamogenesis means the mode of reproduction in which the formation of gametes does not take place. So this mechanism is seen in asexual mode of reproduction. In this type, variations are not seen as meiosis is absent.
Syngamy is the fusion of two haploid gametes that forms a diploid zygote, while in conjugation, two unicellular organisms unite temporarily for the exchange of genetic material. Conjugation means the transfer of genetic materials from one to another organism through direct contact. In this method, one organism acts as a donor while the other acts as a recipient. Cloning is the process of the formation of a genetically identical organism from the parent organism.
