Here u=−9m and f=−1m (−1)1−(−9)1=v1 ⇒v=8−9m
As the object moves at a constant speed of 5m/s after 1s the new position of image is u′=−9m+5m=−4m ∴(−1)1−(−4)1=v′1 ⇒v′=4−3m
The shift in the position of image in 1s is v−v′=9−8+34≈51 ∴ Average speed of image =51m/s
