The velocity of water at point

v = 2 g h

Time taken to reach point C is t So,

H - h = \frac{1}{2} g t^{2}

t = \frac{2 ( H - h )}{g}

R = v t

= 2 g h \times \frac{2 ( H - h )}{g} = 2 (H - h) h
