Since, the person is not able to see distant objects beyond 10cm so, he should use concave lens in his spectacles.
Concave lens will form the image of object distant 30cm, at 10cm it means u=−30cm,v=−10cm f1=v1−u1 =−101−−301=−302
or f1=−151
