A particle covers half the total distance with speed of 3m/s . The rest of the distance is covered in two equal time intervals with speed of 4.5m/s and 7.5m/s respectively. The average speed of the particle during this motion is:-
If t1 and 2t2 are the time taken by particle to cover first and second half distance respectively t1=3x/2=6x….(i) x1=4.5t2 and x2=7.5t2
So, x1+x2=2x⇒4.5t2+7.5t2=2x...(ii)
Total time t=t1+2t2=6x+12x=4x
So, average speed =4m/sec
