As shown in figure, in the two arms of a tube pressure remains same on surface PP′. Hence, 8×ρY×g+2×ρHg×g =10×ρX×g ∴8ρY+2×13.6=10×3.36
or ρY=833.6−27.2 =0.8g/cc
