The food conducting tissue of vascular plants is phloem. The components of phloem are sieve elements, companion cells, phloem parenchyma, phloem fibers, and sclereids. Whereas xylem is the water-conducting tissue of vascular plants. The components of xylem are Tracheids, vessel, xylem parenchyma, and xylem fiber. There is one characteristic that is common in vessel element and sieve tube element is that they both are non-living at maturity or nucleus is absent in both of them.
