Solution:
Karyoplasmic index is the ratio of the volume of the nucleus to the volume of the cytoplasm. For each cell fixed volume of nucleus can control the fixed volume of cytoplasm, when the volume of the cytoplasm increases more than the volume of the nucleus the karyoplasmic index decreases. Thus the cell starts dividing.
