Eighth (VIII) vertebrae of frog represent the lumber region in frog. It is characterized by the presence of amphicoelous centrum. Centrum of a typical vertebrae is concave in front and convex behind such a centrum is described as procoelous. The centre of the vertebral of rabbit have flat surfaces, such verteberae are called amphiplatyan.
