Q. Write the first three terms of the sequence whose general term is
$a_{n} n^{2}-n +1$
Sequences and Series
A
$1, 3, 7 $
69%
B
$2, 4, 5$
15%
C
$1, 4, 6$
8%
D
$1, 3, 5$
8%
Solution:
$a_{n} = n^{2} - n +1 $
Substituting $n = 1, 2, 3$, we get
$ a_{1} = \left(1\right)^{2} - 1 + 1 = 1$,
$ a_{2} = 3,$
$ a_{3} = 7 $
So, the required terms are $ 1,3, 7$.
