Q. With the rise of water temperature, dissolved oxygen

WBJEEWBJEE 2014Environmental Issues

Solution:

Amount of dissolved oxygen decreases with the rise in temperature of water. Hot waste water is produced by many industries, thermal power plants and oil refineries. It is drained out into water bodies. Consequently temperature of the water bodies rises, which decreases content of dissolved oxygen.
