$X_{L}=2 \pi f L, $
$X_{c}=\frac{1}{2 \pi f C}$
When $f$ is increased, $X_{L}$ will increase
,$X_{C}$ will decrease
So $X_{L}-X_{C}$ will increase, hence $z$ will increase
