Paramoecium and Amoeba are unicellular eukaryotic heterotrophic organisms. Earlier they were classified under Animalia and were considered protozoans. In the five kingdom classification, all unicellular eukaryotic organisms have been placed under kingdom Protista. Thus Paramoecium, Amoeba, Chlorella and Chlamydomonas have been placed under the same kingdom
