Q. Which shell would be the first to have '$g$' sub-shell?

Structure of Atom

Solution:

For $g$-subshell $l=4$; the value of $n$ will be $=(l+ 1)=5$
$\underset{n =1}{K},\, \underset{n =2}{L},\, \underset{n =3}{M},\, \underset{n =4}{N},\, \underset{n =5}{O}$
$\therefore $ For $n =5$ corresponding is 'o' shell and it contain ' $g$ ' subshell.
