Q. Which particle will have a minimum frequency of revolution when projected with the same velocity and perpendicular to a magnetic field?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Since, we know,
Frequency, $\upsilon=\frac{q B}{2 \pi m} \, \upsilon; \propto \frac{q}{m}$
In the given particles,
$\frac{q}{m}$ is a minimum for $Li^{+}.$
$\therefore Li^{+}$ will have the minimum frequency.
