Q. Which oxide of nitrogen is not a common pollutant introduced into the atmosphere both due to natural and human activity?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Oxides of nitogen $NO _{ x }$ is produced from the reaction of nitrogen and oxygen gases in the air during combustion, especially at high temperatures. In areas of high motor vehicle traffic, such as in large cities, the amount of nitrogen oxides emitted into the atmosphere as air pollution can be significant.
The $NO _{ x }$ may be $N _{2} O , NO$ and $NO _{2}$ only.
