Solution:
Solution:
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum is produced from RER through the loss/removal of protein-synthesising ribosomes. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is the primary site for synthesis of lipid. In animal cells, lipid-like steroidal hormones are synthesised in SER. Hence, SER helps in the synthesis of lipids, cholesterol, and visual pigments in epithelial cells of the retina. SER is mainly made up of cisternae and vesicles. Material from SER fuse with Golgi apparatus in the form of vesicles.
