Rocket fuels generally contain two substance, one the fuel and other the oxidiser. Oxidiser is an oxygen rich substance and used to provide oxygen for burning process. Common oxidisers used for this purpose are nitric acid $(HNO_{3})$, hydrogen peroxide $(H_{2}O_{2}), N_{2}O_{4}$ etc
