Solution:

Asparagus has fasciculated roots that arise in a bunch from a lower node of the stem and become fleshy for the storage of food. It is a type of modified adventitious root. Underground stems of potato (tuber), ginger and turmeric (rhizome), zaminkand and colocasia (corm) are used for food storage and vegetative propagation. Onion is a modified underground stem called the bulb. This stem is reduced and has a disc-like structure and surrounds with numerous fleshly scaly leaves.
