Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (china rose) has axile placentation It has a polycarpellary, syncarpous superior ovary with the hypogynous insertion of floral whorls. It has an alternate type of phyllotaxy, in which a single leaf arises at each node in an alternate manner. It has twisted aestivation in which one margin of the petal overlaps that of the next one and so on.
