Pea, a member of Family Fabaceae has zygomorphic flowers (bilateral symmetry), i.e., flowers can be divided into two similar halves only in one particular plane. Stamens are united in two bundles, diadelphous and ovary shows marginal placentation, i.e., the placenta forms a ridge along the ventral suture of ovary and the ovules are borne on this ridge forming two rows.
