Solution:

Tissue factor (platelet tissue factor, factor III, thromboplastin or CD142, Ca2+ and Hageman factors initiate blood clotting, Hageman factor (factor XII) is only used to initiate coagulation cascade in vitro. Prothrombinase formed by these initiating factors and K+ is necessary for the synthesis of prothrombin in liver.
