Q. Which of the given option is incorrect about spleen?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Spleen helps in removal of old worn out erythrocytes hence it is called slaughter house of erythrocytes. Spleen also has a large reservoir of erythrocytes and hence is called blood bank of the body. It also acts as a filter of the blood by trapping blood-borne microorganisms. The primary lymphoid organs are bone marrow and thymus where immature lymphocytes differentiate into antigen-sensitive lymphocytes. After maturation the lymphocytes migrate to secondary lymphoid organs like spleen, lymph nodes, tonsils, Peyer's patches of small intestine and appendix.
