Solution:

The central nervous system is divided into the brain and the spinal cord. The brain is divided into forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain. The forebrain is divided into cerebrum and diencephalon. Diencephalon encloses the third ventricle and it consists of epithalamus (roof of third ventricle), hypothalamus (floor of ventricle) and thalamus (sides of third ventricle).
