NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Strong nucleophile alkoxide ion $RO^{-}$ give nucleophilic substitution reaction, $S_{N}2$ with primary alkyl halide and ether is formed.
If secondary halide is taken yield of ether decrease and yield of alkene, formed due to elimination reaction, increase.
But when tertiary alkyl halide is taken, as in option 3, then elimination reaction take place and alkene formed as major product.
