Heparin prevents blood coagulation in the blood vessels. It is produced in liver. It is an anticoagulant, blocking conversion prothrombin to thrombin. Haemoglobin is the blood pigment necessary for oxygen transport. Histamine is pain generating substance and hirudin cause prevention of blood coagulation present in leaches.
