During complete oxidation of glucose two oxidative decarboxylation reaction occurs one in link reaction when pyruvic acid is oxidized to Acetyl CoA and second in Kreb's cycle when alpha ketoglutaric acid is oxidized to succinyl CoA. Both these reactions occurs in matrix of mitochondria.
