Q. Which of the following is not possible value of radius of stable orbit of hydrogen atom. Where $\lambda$ is de Broglie wavelength of the electron.

Solution:

$\therefore 2 \pi r=n \lambda$
$\therefore r=\frac{n \lambda}{2 \pi}$
$n=1,2,3,4,5 \ldots \ldots \ldots r $
$=\frac{\lambda}{2 \pi}, \frac{2 \lambda}{2 \pi}, \frac{3 \lambda}{2 \pi}$
So $\frac{3 \lambda}{4 \pi}$ is odd one
