Solution:
The acetabulum is the socket where head of the femur articulates to form hip joint. It is formed by the fusion of three bones of the pelvis - ischium, ilium and pubis. During the articulation, the acetabulum is oriented laterally, inferiorly and anteriorly while the femur is neck is directed superiorly, slightly anterior with medial orientation.
The scapula and colar bone forms the bone of the shoulder region i.e. pectoral girdle.
