During his experiments, Mendel studied seven pairs of contrasting characters. The dominant characters observed were tall and axial plant, green and inflated fruit, round, yellow and gray seeds and the recessive characters were dwarf, terminal plant, yellow constricted fruit and wrinkled, green and white seeds.
