1-propanol $\underrightarrow{Cu/\Delta} CH_3-CH_2-CHO \xrightarrow[\text{solution}]{\text{Fehling}} {}_{red}^{Cu_2O} \downarrow $ when react with NaOH and $I_2,$ form yellow coloured iodofonu, This test is called iodoform test. $C_6H_5OH$ contains iodoform test. The $I_2$ converts CzHPH into $CH_3CHO.$ That's why it gives iodofonn test.
