Stele is the portion of the plant tissue which comprises of the vascular bundles and the pith. The stele is called protostele when pith is absent in the centre of the ground tissue. Protostele is the type of stelar arrangement where the vascular bundles are present but parenchymatous pith is absent in the centre.
