Genetic disorders are of two types:
(a) Mendelian disorders like hemophilia, phenylketonuria, sickle-cell anaemia, cystic fibrosis, etc. that can be studied by pedigree analysis.
(b) Chromosomal disorders like Down Syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome, Turner syndrome, etc. cannot be studied by pedigree analysis.
