The compounds containing O $CH _{3}-\overset{\underset{||}{O}}{C} - $ group give positive iodoform test.
$CH _{3} CN , CH _{3} OH$ and $C _{6} H _{5} OH$ do not give iodoform test because they don't have $CH _{3}= \overset{\underset{||}{O}}{C}-$ group.
Only $CH _{3} COCH _{3}$ (acetone) gives positive iodoform test as it contains $CH _{3} CO$ group.
