In Bryophyta main plant body is a gametophyte and sporophyte is produced after sexual reproduction. The sporophyte is multicellular which remain attached to gametophyte and derives its nutrition completely or partially. Sporogenous cells present inside the capsule of sporophyte undergoes reduction division to form haploid spores.
