Q. Which is not true for glycolysis?

ManipalManipal 2005

Solution:

The process of glycolysis does not require $ {{O}_{2}} $ and takes place in the cytoplasm. During the whole process of glycolysis, one molecule of glucose $(6C)$ is converted into two pyruvic acid molecules $(3C)$, two ATP are used and $4$ ATP are evolved. Substrate level phosphorylation is also taken place.
