Solution:

Few planktonic dinoflagellates are luminous and contribute to the flashing of light effects that we sometimes see in the sea at night, especially in the tropics. Noctiluca does not have cellulosic cell plates like other dinoflagellates. Bioluminescence is associated with luciferase enzyme.
