Q. When the torque acting on a rotating body is zero then what will remain constant?

Rajasthan PMTRajasthan PMT 1997

Solution:

Torque $ \tau =\frac{\overrightarrow{dL}}{dt}=0 $ Then $ \frac{d\overrightarrow{L}}{dt}=0 $ $ \therefore $ L= constant So, if torque is zero, then angular momentum will be constant.
