Q. When $Na$ reacts with liquid $NH_3$ the following substance is formed :

Solution:

Sodium (Na) dissolves in liquid ammonia (NH ) solution to form a blue colored solution characteristic of a solvated electron in liquid ammonia which is conducting in nature due to presence of solvated electrons.
Reaction is $Na +( x + y ) NH _{3} \rightarrow\left[ Na \left( NH _{3}\right)_{ x }\right]^{+}+\left[ e \left( NH _{3}\right)_{ y }\right]^{-}$
